Saint-Romain Region Tour: A Day of Wine Exploration

Welcome to Saint-Romain, a charming village in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône. Our first stop is Château de Pernon, one of the finest examples of Provençal winemaking.

10:00 – 12:00

Cold weather and dry soil in this region make for perfect conditions for producing full-bodied, robust red wines. Our tour starts with the tastings at Château de Pernon, where you’ll discover the difference between Pinot Noir and Syrah grapes.

Tips on tasting wine:

• Start with a glass of Pinot Noir to warm up your palate
• Dip a slice of local cheese into your red wine for a delightful pairing
• Note the flavors and textures of each grape variety
• Sip slowly, enjoying every sip

12:00 – 14:00

We are now on our way to Tenuta San Giorgio Margherita in La Ciotat. This is a must-visit for those who want to experience the perfect combination of Mediterranean climate and French winemaking traditions.

14:00 – 16:00

Tenuta is known for its stunning landscapes, including vineyards that overlook the sea. The tour begins with a guided visit to Tenuta San Giorgio Margherita’s cellars and winery, where you’ll see the entire process of wine-making from grape harvesting to bottling.

Local recommendations:

• Try their truffle-infused cheese for an exquisite pairing
• Eat some local olive oil with fresh bread
• Enjoy a glass of their award-winning Rosé, served chilled

16:00 – 18:00

Last but not least, we head to Bodega Rivesaltes in Castellon de la Robine. This charming village has been producing wine since the Middle Ages and is known for its unique grape varieties such as Carignan and Graciano.

18:00 – 19:00

After our tour of Bodega Rivesaltes, we’ll enjoy a traditional French dinner prepared with ingredients that are also produced locally. We recommend trying the local specialties such as Coq au Vin or Ratatouille with the wine pairings.

• Eat the dishes whole and enjoy them with wine to truly savor the flavors
